Since I was in 6th grade I wanted to go to school for Speech-Language Pathology. Something personal happened within my family and I saw my brother go through speech therapy where I witnessed the amazing results that he had. I continued my dream and started school at UW-Milwaukee for my Bachelor of Science in speech and hearing sciences. I ended up transferring to East Carolina University where I not only finished out my degree, but also got to dive more into the hearing side.
I was always so focused on being able to help people with their speech that I never considered doing anything else. I then got to see firsthand the impact of hearing loss and being able to change people’s lives by working to improve it.
After graduating my husband and I moved back home to the area and I started training with Hart Hearing Care Centers. I was able to obtain my license as a Hearing Instrument Specialist and now get to help patients every day to improve the quality of their lives through better hearing. I am so happy to be where I am today at Hart Hearing Care Centers working with our patients to do everything we can for them!
